Spending Profiles of visitors to US Army Corps of Engineers Recreation Projects
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (CE) reservoir recreation visitors Trip spending estimated from a sample of about 1,600 visitors at 16 CE projects. Spending was measured via exit interviews and mailback surveys in 1999/2000.
Trip and annual spending of marina slip renters at CE projects. Trip spending and annual costs associated with marina and boating activities were estimated from a national survey in 1998. Spending profiles were estimated based on lodging type and length of boat.

Trip and durable goods spending estimated from a sample of over 3,000 visitors at 12 CE projects. Spending was measured via exit interviews and mailback surveys in 1989/1990. Several sets of spending profiles are assembled from these data:

Recreation Visitors to Sites Along the Upper Mississippi River System
A comparable survey at recreation sites along the Mississippi River from St. Louis to St. Paul included 1,316 on site interviews and 683 mailback trip spending surveys. Trip and durable goods spending profiles are reported for several boating, angling and sightseeing segments .
